    ELS1-AC-DC SPD

    The device is a modular, orange-colored unit for DIN rail mounting. Its core features include compliance with Class II (8/20µs waveform) standards, construction based on Zinc Oxide Varistor (MOV) technology, and utilization of 34S MOVs to achieve a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 40kA. It offers a quick response, operates in a wide temperature range of -40℃ to +80℃, and has no power frequency continuous current flow. A notable feature is its optional remote signaling function. The product includes a clear status indicator window (green for normal operation, turning red upon failure), which can trigger a remote alarm if the signaling option is enabled.

    The SPD is available in 2P, 3P, and 4P configurations. The technical data outlines several models with different Maximum Continuous Operating Voltages (Uc): DC 500V, 600V, 800V, and 1000V. Corresponding protection levels (Up) are ≤2.8kV, ≤3.2kV, ≤3.6kV, and ≤4.0kV, respectively. The nominal discharge current (In) is 20kA, with a maximum (Imax) of 40kA (both 8/20µs). It has an ultra-fast response time of ≤25ns, an admissible short-circuit current of 25kA, and requires a maximum backup fuse of 125A gL/gG. Protection modes include DC+/DC- and DC+DC-/PE.

    Mechanically, it is designed as a pluggable unit for 35mm DIN rails, constructed from Thermoplastic material rated UL94 V-0. It maintains an IP20 protection rating. The remote signaling contacts support wiring up to 1.5mm² and are rated for 250V/0.1A. The product complies with the IEC/EN 61643-31 standard.
