Product Descriprion
The EW7-2000 is a universal air circuit breaker designed for AC 50Hz distribution networks, with a rated current range from 200 to 6300A and rated operational voltages of 400V/690V. It is primarily used to distribute electrical energy and protect lines and power supply equipment from hazards such as overload, under-voltage, short circuit, and single-phase ground faults. It can also function as an isolation switch. Its design complies with IEC60947-2 and GB/T 14048.2 standards, featuring high-precision selective protection to avoid unnecessary power outages and enhance power supply reliability and safety. Breakers rated 630A and below can also be used for the infrequent starting of motors.
This breaker features high breaking capacity (up to 100kA), zero arc flashing, acceptance of both top and bottom cable entry, and a compact size. It is equipped with an intelligent over-current controller that provides multiple protection functions including long-time delay, short-time delay, instantaneous, and ground fault protections, which can be set to inverse-time or definite-time modes. The controller (3M/3H types) also measures and displays parameters like voltage, frequency, and power. Advanced models (2H/3H types) support Modbus and Device-net communication protocols for remote monitoring and integrated bus management. Various mechanical interlocks and drawer locks are available to ensure operational safety. Its performance is subject to derating as ambient temperature increases.
The breaker must be installed under ambient temperatures ranging from -5°C to +40°C and at altitudes not exceeding 2000 meters, with a degree of protection of IP30/IP40 (when installed inside an enclosure). During installation, its vertical inclination must not exceed 5°. The provided installation dimension drawings detail the overall external dimensions and the precise cutout dimensions and positions (e.g., hole diameter φ12) required for busbar connections for the EW-2000 series fixed breakers (200-2000A, 3-pole/4-pole), providing clear mechanical guidance for correct installation and busbar wiring within switchgear.

The newly launched 3M and 3H type LCD screen display controllers, in addition to current display and protection, have added measurement and protection functions for voltage, frequency, phase sequence, power, etc., making their functions more powerful.
Regional Selective Interlocking protection (ZSI) significantly reduces the area affected by power outages due to faults, achieving reliable protection.;
It is equipped with various forms of mechanical interlocks (lever type and steel cable type), drawer locks, door interlocks and safety-guaranteed disconnection position locks to achieve the locking of circuit breakers.
The 2H and 3H type intelligent controllers have communication networking and monitoring functions. They can adopt Mod bus and Device-net protocols, facilitating integrated bus management. It can achieve remote control, remote measurement, remote signaling and remote adjustment.

2. The circuit breaker features a rated short-circuit breaking capacity, a specified short-time withstand current, and provides arc flash containment with no external arcing outside the circuit breaker enclosure.

c. Short-Time Overcurrent Protection Characteristic
The short-time delay over-current protection defaults to definite-time operation, but provides inverse-time characteristics (following Ts = 8·Ir/ts·I) at multiples ≤8xIr1 when required; above 8xIr1 it automatically switches to definite-time operation as defined in Table 6, with time tolerance ±15%.
